Susan’s Journey to CRM/IGP Certification

Welcome!  You may already know me.  If not, I am Susan Hadley and I am the current Treasurer for ARMA Keystone.  I have been threatening to get my CRM and/or IGP certification for more than 7 years now!  As some of you may know, I was plucked from obscurity after 27 years as a litigation paralegal and kindly offered the job of Records Manager at a decent-sized Delaware law firm.  And at the time, I knew NOTHING!

The firm brought in a consultant to help me and my staff during the transition and one of her recommendations was that I obtain both the CRM and IGP certifications.  Well, as you know, life as a Records Manager is busy and it’s possible (maybe…) that I was a little anxious about it and didn’t know where to start.

Well, I’m finally going to sit down and figure it out – AND I’m going to bring you along with me.  Join me monthly(-ish) for these blog posts to find out how it’s going and how you can make the same journey.

Remember that ARMA Keystone has (among many others) a fabulous benefit in the Lisa A. Broaddus Education Fund.  There is information on the website related to this scholarship and we will hear more about Lisa in upcoming posts.  I am going to walk through applying for that scholarship and show you how easy it is.
