THE LISA A. BROADDUS EDUCATION FUND

This education fund was set up in the name of Lisa A. Broaddus, a chapter member who passed away suddenly in 2017. She was a bright light and a true proponent of education. In her honor, we would like to make funds available for ARMA Keystone chapter members to expand their education while reducing some of the expense to achieve it.

Lisa was enthusiastic about Records Management, was always looking to expand her knowledge, and also willing to share whatever she learned with her fellow records managers. Her passing was sudden and unexpected. Without any question, we wanted to honor her and what better way to do that than to set up an education fund in her name which would allow future records management professionals to expand their knowledge.

The Lisa A. Broaddus Education Fund makes available, a total of $1,000.00 annually for which ARMA Keystone chapter members can apply to offset their records management education expenses. A submission for an education scholarship can be up to $250.00. Please review the eligibility requirements and follow the application procedures to apply. Email armakeystonepachapter@gmail.com to request an application.

Lisa’s family wanted you to know a little bit about her and her life and what she meant to people.  Lisa received her formal education in the Philadelphia Public School System. Shortly after graduation from Dobbins High, Lisa began her career in Records Management at Blank Rome where she served tirelessly for nearly three decades. Most recently, Lisa worked in the Records Department at Fox Rothschild LLP, where her colleagues were more than family.

Lisa developed life-long friendships with countless people she met along the way. Lisa’s love and light was incomparable. She left a lasting impression on everybody she came in contact with. Her exuberant personality was infectious.

She is greatly missed.

For those of us that knew Lisa, she would say to each and every one of you:  “There’s free money to expand your knowledge and education. Take advantage of it!!!!”  And we agree with her. We encourage any chapter member that meets the qualifications to apply. Email armakeystonepachapter@gmail.com to request an application.
